Summer Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) Adult and Teen Groups Enrolling Now

LOOKING FOR A DBT GROUP JUST FIT FOR THE SUMMER?

Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) Skills Training Group is now open for new members to join both our Family/Adolescent group and Adult group.

Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) is a broad-based cognitive behavioral treatment aimed to enhance your ability to regulate emotions, improve interpersonal relationships and crisis management skills.  Emotion dysregulation has been linked to a variety of mental health concerns stemming from patterns of instability in emotional management, lack of impulse control, ineffective interpersonal relationships, and a distorted self-image.  Helping clients find true balance in emotion, thoughts, and behaviors are the fundamental practices of DBT.

DBT Skills Training Group is structured around four essential modules: MINDFULNESS, INTERPERSONAL EFFECITIVENESS, EMOTIONAL REGULATION, and DISTRESS TOLERANCE.  Each module is designed to assist with symptom management.

On May 22nd, 2018, the Family/Adolescent Group will begin 8 weeks of Mindfulness and Distress Tolerance (crisis management) skills, and 3 weeks of Emotional Regulation skills (11 weeks total). This group is specifically designed for teens, young adults AND their parents/family members.  This group will meet every Tuesday from 10a-12pm, through August 7, 2018*. Limited to 4 families.

Also, on May 22nd, 2018, our Adult Group will begin a 9-week journey of Mindfulness and Interpersonal Effectiveness Skills. Healthy interpersonal patterns help us navigate relationships effectively.   This group is open to individuals or couples age 21 and older.  This group will meet every Tuesday from 12:30pm-2:30pm, through July 24, 2018*.  Limited to 8 adults.

Fees include $40 per group member per week. Most major insurances accepted (co-pays due each week).

Participation is limited, and each participant/family will require an initial consultation to ensure best fit for the group. Once enrollment is received on-line, instructor Katrina Breeden  or Monique Bell will contact you to set up a consultation. Enroll on-line today or call 316-425-7774.

*NO GROUPS WILL MEET JULY 3, 2018*
