About Emily:

Life can be stressful and hard. It’s not easy to keep up with family demands, work responsibilities, societal expectations, cultural differences, while also focusing on your own wants and needs. Changing your life can be scary, and after you make the changes, it can be difficult to keep them in place. But know you are not alone in your journey towards feeling better, and help is available as you navigate through all of life’s challenges.

You can create your ideal life by practicing tools to calm anxiety, reduce stress, and deal with the pressure you may be feeling from everyday life. I believe creativity is a powerful tool that can help with feeling better. I am here to help as you travel towards a less stressed and more authentic self.

I am a Licensed Clinical Marriage & Family Therapist who provides Individual Therapy for ages ranging from 12 years old to 65 and older. My mission is to support clients as they move towards healing and achieving personal goals by acknowledging internal and external struggles and challenges while amplifying their positive supports systems and internal resources.

I received a Master of Arts degree in Counseling Psychology with an emphasis in Expressive Arts Therapy and bachelor’s degrees in Women’s Studies and in Fine Arts. I have over 10 years of clinical experience working in a variety of settings including community mental health, primary and secondary school-based counseling, skilled nursing rehabilitation and Alzheimer’s facilities, and residential facility care for transitional aged youth.

Specialized Training and Therapeutic Approaches:

Along with my use of psychodynamic, humanistic, multi-cultural, and person-centered therapy approaches I received training in Expressive Arts Therapy which provides alternative tools that help access the client’s own personal strengths and metaphors in support of their healing and wellbeing.
