Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) Skill Training Groups

COVID-19 update: DBT group meetings are currently suspended due to COVID-19, but DBT is still available on an individual basis. Please contact us with questions, or to get started.

Emotion dysregulation has been linked to a variety of mental health concerns stemming from patterns of instability in emotional regulation, impulse control, interpersonal relationships, and self-image.

Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) is a broad-based cognitive behavioral treatment aimed to enhance your ability to regulate emotions, improve interpersonal relationships and establish crisis management skills.  Helping clients find true balance in emotions, thoughts, perceptions, behaviors and relationships are fundamental goals of DBT.

DBT Skills Training Groups are structured around four essential modules: MINDFULNESS, INTERPERSONAL EFFECTIVENESS, EMOTIONAL REGULATION, and DISTRESS TOLERANCE.  Each module is designed to assist with symptom management.

If you or someone you know struggles with dysregulation in any of the above listed areas, please email Katrina Breeden, M.S., LCMFT or Maggie Thompson, M.S., LCMFT, DBT-C for more information about DBT skills training groups/services, or call our office at 316-425-7774. Group participation is limited.
