When we feel better, we heal better.
Learning about ourselves is a gift. Sometimes that journey includes perspective, courage… and a wagging tail.
Frank — also known as Frankie, Franklin, Frankiedoo, and about a hundred other nicknames — is the most popular Therapist Assistant at Real Life Counseling. He officially completed his Canine Good Citizen training in April 2025 and has been spreading comfort ever since.

Frank has a big personality and an even bigger heart. He is incredibly friendly — his only flaw is that he genuinely believes everyone wants to be his friend.
What Frank Loves:
– Gentle pets
– Tiny humans
– Exploring new smells
– Making nervous clients smile
– Sitting nearby during hard conversations
Frank helps create a warm, supportive, and welcoming space for clients of all ages. Whether you’re tall or small, nervous or excited, Frank is here to remind you that you’re safe, valued, and never alone.
If you see him in the waiting room, be sure to ask for a hello and offer a gentle pet. He’ll gladly accept.
Therapy is a collaborative journey toward growth and healing — and sometimes the best breakthroughs happen with a steady presence at your side.
Frank can’t wait to meet you.
Travis Stegman is Frank’s human, and they work together to meet the needs of the clients Travis sees. For more about Travis, see his profile here: Travis Stegman, LCMFT
